How do I book a chauffeur?

Enter your pickup and drop-off on our booking page to get a quote. We'll confirm your booking by email and your chauffeur's details arrive the evening before. For complex or multi-vehicle bookings, call 0161 327 4199.

How quickly will I get a quote?

Some quotes are ready straight away. Others may require a manual review, in which case we'll come back to you as quickly as possible. For urgent requests, call 0161 327 4199.

What areas do you cover?

Based in Manchester, we cover the whole of the UK. Most journeys start or finish in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire or Yorkshire, but we regularly travel nationwide for corporate clients and events.

Do you track flights for airport pickups?

Yes. Provide your flight number when booking and we'll monitor it in real time. If your flight is delayed, we adjust the pickup accordingly. Airport transfers include 60 minutes of free wait time from landing.

Do you offer corporate accounts?

Yes. Corporate accounts include consolidated monthly invoicing, priority booking, a dedicated account manager, and preferential rates. Learn more or get in touch to set up an account.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and Apple Pay. Corporate account clients receive consolidated monthly invoicing.

Can I amend my booking?

Free amendments up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. For changes within 24 hours, call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate, subject to vehicle availability.

What's your cancellation policy?

Standard chauffeur bookings: free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup, 100% payable inside 48 hours. Weddings and Proms: free cancellation up to 7 days before. VIP Sprinter: 5 days. Production and event bookings have bespoke terms agreed at booking.

Which airports do you cover?

All UK airports. Manchester Airport (all terminals), Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, East Midlands, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City. Private aviation: Manchester Airport Private, Farnborough FBO, Liverpool biz-jet apron.

How long before my flight should I book my chauffeur to leave?

Manchester Airport short-haul: 2 hours before departure. Long-haul Manchester: 3 hours. Heathrow long-haul from Manchester: 5–6 hours door to gate given the ~3h 30m road journey plus airport process. Your driver's arrival time reflects this; you only need to book the flight.

How much is a chauffeur to Manchester Airport?

Fares depend on pickup address, vehicle class, and timing. Send your route through the booking form or call 0161 327 4199 and a fixed fare is confirmed in writing before you travel — no surge, no motorway surcharge, no meter.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class (executive saloon, 3 passengers), Mercedes V-Class (group MPV, 7 passengers, 7 cases), Range Rover Autobiography LWB (first-class SUV, 3 passengers, 3 cases), Monaco Sprinter (VIP group flagship, 8 captain seats, 12 cases, conference table).

Are R5 vehicles unmarked?

Yes. No livery, no roof sign, no visible branding. Range Rover Autobiography and Mercedes E-Class in Obsidian Black are indistinguishable from private family cars — used for VIP, footballer, and discretion-sensitive bookings.

Are your drivers PHV-licensed and DBS-checked?

Yes. Every R5 driver holds an active private-hire vehicle (PHV) licence from their local council, enhanced DBS certificates (child & adult workforce), and a minimum of five years' professional driving experience. R5 operates under Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council operator licence OP241726. See our licensing and compliance page for verification.

Do your drivers sign NDAs?

As standard for production, VIP, footballer, and high-profile corporate bookings. Drivers are briefed not to use social media about any booking and never photograph or discuss passengers. Your NDA template is accepted; we will supply ours on request.

Can I book for a wedding?

Yes. Wedding packages in Range Rover Autobiography or Mercedes E-Class, with ribbons and flowers coordinated. V-Class and Monaco Sprinter for bridal parties and late guest movements. Multi-car coordination for full wedding-day logistics.

Do you do school runs?

Yes. Term-time dedicated-driver arrangements for regular school runs to Manchester Grammar, Cheadle Hulme, Altrincham Grammar, King's School Macclesfield, and other North West independent schools. Same driver each morning; DBS enhanced; briefed on the child's preferences.

Can I book a chauffeur for Old Trafford or the Etihad?

Yes. See our match-day chauffeur service — pre-match drop inside the approved drop zone before road closures, post-match collection at an agreed radius off the main egress route. Covers Old Trafford, Etihad, Emirates Old Trafford, Co-op Live, AO Arena.

Do you cover Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National?

Yes. Multi-day retainers for Cheltenham Festival week (March) and Aintree Grand National week (April). Hospitality-pass-aware drop routing, overnight accommodation coordination, same-driver pairing across the festival.

Can you handle production and film unit transport?

Yes. R5 works from call sheets not booking forms. Unit base pickups at MediaCityUK, Dock10, Sharp Project, and other Manchester locations. NDA-standard drivers, PO billing, multi-day retainers for talent. See production transport for the full brief.

Are child seats available?

+

Yes. Rear-facing infant, forward-facing toddler, and booster seats available on request at no extra charge. Specify the child's age and weight at booking so we fit the correct restraint.

Can I bring a pet?

+

By prior arrangement. Assistance dogs always carried free of charge. Other pets require prior notice and a compatible vehicle (typically V-Class or Range Rover with protective covering). Additional valeting fee may apply.

What happens if I leave something in the car?

+

Call 0161 327 4199 as soon as you notice. Every vehicle is searched at the end of each journey and found items are logged at our Manchester office. We'll arrange return delivery or collection once identified and confirmed against the booking.

Do you operate 24/7?

+

Yes for pre-booked journeys. Office lines and online bookings are manned 06:00–22:00; a duty dispatcher handles overnight emergency bookings and live-job issues round the clock. Short-notice bookings are subject to fleet availability.

Can I book for someone else?

+

Yes. Give the passenger's name, mobile, and any access notes (gate code, specific pickup door) at booking. We contact the booker for changes and the passenger only for live updates on the day. Common for PAs booking for executives and parents booking for students.
